Roaming with THURAYA
Thuraya has signed roaming agreements with many GSM operators in
three continents and is in the process of finalizing others.
THURAYA Partnership with GSM makes it possible for GSM
subscribers to have access to the latest mobile satellite
technology. These users are able to access Thuraya network in
the whole Thuraya footprint area in and out of their home
countries and wherever GSM coverage lapses. Meanwhile, Thuraya
subscribers are also able to roam within their respective GSM
operator’s network, while enjoying service access out of Thuraya
system coverage service.
In Pakistan, THURAYA has GSM roaming arrangements
with all the presently available GSM service providers in the
country.

Roaming in
THURAYA means:

Thuraya Postpaid subscribers (with Thuraya SIM
cards) are able to access other GSM networks (who have roaming
agreement with Thuraya) in the Thuraya coverage area.

GSM subscribers from networks who have roaming
agreement with Thuraya are able to access Thuraya satellite
services anywhere in the coverage area using their existing
GSM SIM cards and a Thuraya phone.
